About Us

My name is Carla L. Lewis-Irizarry. I am the Founder/CEO of Island Flower Health & Wellness Collective and an Adjunct Professor even though, I am: 1. legally blind with Congenital Glaucoma, 2. strapped with many medical conditions: like Lupus & Nephritis, and 3. I am a two-time cancer survivor. That would ordinarily sideline many; this has pushed me to start Island Flower to help save lives and to help those live a healthier lifestyle through Cannabis.  When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy watching movies, shopping, hanging with friends, and spending much quality time with my son.

 I received my bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology and went on to obtain my master's degree's in Public Administration & Policy and Disability Studies. I also have certifications in Conflict/Dispute Resolution, Mental Health First Aid, and Cannabis Education. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Education. 

I have been working as an educational consultant for the past 20 years. 

I have over 20+ years of experience in education and social work, along with being an advocate and activist for individuals with disabilities, families, and my community. I fight for diversity and inclusion for all, as well as social justice issues. I am a member of several professional and educational organizations across the country. Each year, I attend or do a variety of webinars and conferences better to help my clients with the path of learning.
